The Cambridge A Level qualification is one of the most respected pre-university qualifications in the world. This is your passport to enter degree programmes offered by Universities in the UK, US, Australia etc., and even professional bodies such as the ACCA. Multinational employers in Malaysia and Singapore widely recognise and welcome graduates from the A Level programme due to their wider exposure on the use of English.

According to the British Council, over 2 million students from 160 countries take the A Level exams every year, and here are some of the reasons why:
Independent thinking - A Level programme focuses on producing mature thinking students, well-equipped to independently analyse, evaluate, criticise and apply broad arrays of in-depth knowledge acquired from a particular subject - A strong value preferred by top universities when recruiting students into their institution.
Flexible - A Level subjects are covered in great breadth and depth yet flexible enough NOT to 'lock" you onto a specific field; providing you freedom to specialise at a later stage. For instance, if you're an SPM holder feeling undecided about going for a Law or Management or Accounting degree, you can always do that after completing your A Level.
Internationally recognised - The A Level qualifications are awarded by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), a division of the Cambridge Assessment from the University of Cambridge. It is one of the very few world-class pre-university qualifications recognised by top UK universities, like, Cambridge, Oxford, London, Yale, Harvard, etc. In the US, it is recognised and accepted by over 500 universities, including all Ivy League universities, MIT & Stanford. Recognition from other countries include Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, Egypt, Jordan, South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain.
Better command of English - The immersion of English throughout the course drives students from non-native English speaking background to use the language in a wider setting; significantly improving their language proficiency to stay ahead in colleges or universities where success relies equally upon on rapid learning and strong communication skills.
Fast-track - A Level at Crescendo can be completed in just 1-1½ years, and we have been producing successful A Level graduates within that time-frame since 2001.
Professional academicians, prize winning producers - Your academic growth will be shaped and monitored by one of the finest academic teams in Johor (some of which have produced prize winning A Level students themselves), whose sole dedication is to see you succeed.
Scholarships for SPM / UEC students - Merit scholarships are given for every A's you get in SPM/UEC. An RM200 per 'A' for the first 5A's and RM500 for each subsequent A's. More scholarships will be given to students with 9A's or above.
Scholarships for A Level students entering UOL / ACCA - Crescendo's A Level students automatically receive RM3,100 scholarship each should they choose to pursue any of the prestigious UOL Degree / ACCA programmes at the College.

Dr Chu is a highly experienced Malaysian medical educator and a trained Chemist by profession, who is also an associate member of the Institute of Chemistry in Malaysia and Singapore. In the last 25 years, Dr Chu has taught Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects in secondary schools and up to PhD level programmes in Malaysia, Canada, Singapore and the UK.

Gary Ng Boon Hui, Law Lecturer

Gary heads the Law programme and lectures to the A level, ACCA, and LLB students. Under his tutelage, three A Level students have won prestigious awards from Cambridge. Two for scoring the highest mark in the world (in 2012 and 2013), and one for scoring the highest mark in Malaysia (in 2018).
Jason Hee Yok Lai, Accounting Lecturer

Jason has taught accounting subjects at various levels (A Levels, ACCA, CIMA, ICSA, UOL, Heriot Watt University etc.) for over 20 years in many reputable higher learning institutions. He is a charismatic lecturer who injects fun and excitement into his lessons delivery.
Allan Tan Ee Ming, Business Lecturer & Physics Lecturer

Allan is a UK trained educator who was also the former Director of Studies and Head of the Business & Management Faculty in one of KL's top colleges. One of his students won the Cambridge Learners Award for achieving top score in Malaysia in 2014 for the A Levels Business Studies.
Louis Khor Chun Poh, Law Lecturer

Louis formerly won the Best Student Award for his outstanding result in the University of London Laws Part 1 Exam in 2010. Together with Gary Ng, Louis complements and strengthens the Law Faculty for the delivery of law subjects to A Level students.
Ng Siu Kun, Math Lecturer

Ms. Ng has been teaching Math and Statistics since 1991. She formerly served in various higher learning institutions and was once a principal in one of Johor's private international schools.

Daniel Kim Rui Qin, Chemistry Lecturer

As a former chemical lab research assistant, Daniel has never given up his passion for teaching Chemistry subjects one day. Guaranteed Scholarships: ALL A Level students of Crescendo will be given a guaranteed Progression Scholarship worth RM3,100 should they choose to further their studies here, at the College. The scholarship is only applicable for the following programmes: University of London (Law, Accounting & Finance, Business & Management) and ACCA professional accountancy programme.
The A Level’s global reputation greatly improved my chances of getting into a good university. Being a former A Level science student, I found myself well ahead of my university course mates when it comes to subjects related to Natural Science. Even if I should switch to a Social Science major, A Level has prepared me well to cope with the rigorous academic demand.
